Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

Home   Press   Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

We pray you are safe in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. We know that many in our city have been affected, including some of our friends and family members. One member’s home was looted and another family lost both of their vehicles due to the storm.

The Legacy Center has already dispatched our trucks to bring relief to those who were hit in the Rockaways and Coney Island. We have been moved to help the 8.4 million in our city. We have already received calls and emails from many friends asking, “How can we help?”

If you or your friends and family would like to help, The Legacy Center Warehouse will be open Thurs., November 1, Fri., November 2 and Sat., November 3 beginning at 8AM. Among other things, we are expecting two 18- wheeler trucks loaded with supplies from ministry partners. We will need help preparing the trucks to distribute the relief.

If you have been affected by the hurricane and need help, The Legacy Center warehouse will be open Thurs., November 1, Fri., November 2 and Sat., November 3 to the public from 10:00AM to 2:00PM for relief distribution. The Legacy Center Warehouse is located at 1633 Centre Street between Cypress Ave. and Wyckoff Ave. You can also call at 347.292.4TLC or visit tlcnyc.org.

We also encourage you to give, we’ve set up a Hurricane Relief Fund as a part of this relief effort. Please consider giving a financial donation as we continue in our efforts to provide relief to our community. Click here to give.
